In 1910, this 42 foot long Viking boat won first prize for best float. It featured a golden dragon and Norwegian coat of arms painted on its side. It was decorated with garlands of flowers and had 17 beautiful girls dressed in white riding along. Joining them was one good-sized Viking, Martinum Thorvik. The first picture was taken on Water Street, next to the Hyland building.
