We have driven many beautiful couples from all over the world for nearly 30yrs.
One of our earlier requests came frompart of Vermont from their wedding planner who was searching for a Rolls Royce for one of her clients.
Hearing how difficult it was becoming for her to find the right vehicle I told her, It's sounds like a great day for a ride in a Rolls Royce and we'd be happy to make the journey.
Come the wedding day, the first trip consisted of the father riding with me to the church.
He chose to sit next to me and on our way he got teary eyed. I asked, “Sad to give your daughter away?”
The father replied ”No, I didn't think you'd come.”
In response I asked, “Why?”
The father replied back, “I know how these old cars can be and I'm the one who wanted it since the day she was born”. Then he said,” You just passed the church”.
I replied to him, “ I know and I love your story, but that won't cut it, so when we get to the church and someone asks you why you're crying? Just say I'm sad to give my daughter away.”
Years went by and I've stayed in touch with this planner who since then has raised a family of her own. I kept thinking how unusual this particular client was. To my surprise she said,”The father owns car dealerships in Naples, Florida.”
I thought to myself, the only one other than myself in the car was a father first!
