☀️ 🏝 BEACH SPOTLIGHT! 🏝 ☀️

Want to get away to 5 miles of secret beach, home to a wildlife refuge and more sea turtle nests than people?…

We suggest you check out two of Hobe Sound best beaches!… Head for Bridge Road and go east! Bridge Road is a banyan tree lined road and in itself is worth a drive to check out the lush landscape along its edges. At the end of Bridge Road you will be just far enough out of town to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Once there, Hobe Sound’s public beach will greet you with plenty of parking, great facilities (bathrooms and outdoor showers) and easy access to the white sandy shores! We suggest you go early when the wind and waves are the most mellow. This beach is great for both those who like to camp out under an umbrella and those who wish to walk and comb the shores for shells and other treasures! Lifeguards are on duty making this beach safe for all ages.

For beach goers who want even more privacy; instead of parking in the main parking area for the Hobe Sound beach, turn left at the end of Bridge road and head about 3 miles north. The road will dead end once again; this time at the Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge. Here, your additional efforts will be rewarded with even less crowds… perhaps a handful of people; even on the busiest of days. Parking is $5, facilities are minimal (port of potty restrooms and no lifeguards) yet there is a nice wooden boardwalk to take you across the vegetation berm to the beach. Once over the berm, you’ll be able to walk for miles in either direction and not see one condo, tee shirt shop or other sign of development. It’s just you and nature at its finest! This part of the beach is a designated wildlife refuge so please respect the natural surroundings and leave everything undisturbed.
