Iowa blizzards have come through, but that hasn't slowed down our construction team! Through the renovation, they found antique deposit books and bank checks from First National Bank Stuart dated as far back as the 1890's. Many of these items were well preserved hidden behind the plaster walls in the upstairs apartment. The downstairs revealed some pretty unique designs on the ceiling that had been covered by a drop ceiling for years. Once we have everything open and cleared out, we will be working with our team on layout and design. Our vision is coming alive day by day!

Happy New Year friends! The moment we have been waiting for has come and gone. We were on a waiting list for approximately 18 months. Atlas was kind enough to bump us up after we were on the news and the pressure to fix the building was mounting. We had crumbling and cracks all over the building and now have a solid structure!!! 🤩 We are so thankful for Dustin and his crew at Atlas Masonry for their expertise and professionalism and punctuality. Highly recommend!

The Bonnie and Clyde bank will be on Des Moines KCCI 8 at 6pm tonight! We are excited to share our story and even more excited for the day we get to open for business!

We got our merch in to test out what ones we like! I love them so much! We are excited to share we have construction set to start November 5th, 2023! We have plenty of time to work out every detail of making this dream a reality. I’m excited to share the progress, the process and everything involved that seems interesting 🤩

May 23rd is the anniversary of Bonnie and Clyde’s death. The end of their trail. A few months ago I was able to go see the Bonnie and Clyde death car just outside Las Vegas, NV. Their story is a wild one!

Race day! Bonnie and Clyde fun run was a blast! Mason got first place for the 1 mile and Katelyn got second place for the 1 mile. We had fun getting to know people in the community and having our doors open to view the building! Cora (age 5) ran with me and sometimes she needed a break so I gave her a piggyback ride and she said “Mommy, I’m like you backpack”! Dave ran the 1 mile when we got back and all the kids cheered on their Daddy at the finish line. 🏃‍♀️ 🏃

Race day is this Saturday April 23rd! There is still time to sign up for the 1 mile or 5 mile fun walk/run. We will have our doors open to tour the old bank that Bonnie and Clyde robbed in 1934. You can view the vault and take a picture with the photo prop. We are excited to see you there!

You guys! We are so excited to have this apartment above the bank that Bonnie and Clyde robbed transform into an elegant retreat! We have created this page to share the progress and document all the fun stuff that goes with owning a piece of history. This building has been here in Stuart, Iowa since 1882. It’s 140 years of beautiful 🤩

Today we got to meet at the Bonnie and Clyde Hideout with our design team!!! Jodi is the owner and Anna is her assistant. This is a huge project and I’m so grateful that Jodi took this project on. Today the team measured and did a video and then we went over the layout. Stay tuned for design updates.

We are so excited to officially have keys to our building! We celebrated by having a pizza party and playing games in the historic bank famous for being robbed by Bonnie and Clyde. We can’t wait to let our imaginations run wild and make our vision come to life!
