Hey everyone! We wanted to let you know that we have decided to make Paddle Social Florida a seasonal company for now. We plan to be open from April - August. We saw so much wildlife on today's Sandbar Hopper Tour. Blue crabs, hermit crabs, mangrove crabs, snook, green sea turtles, a living sand dollar, many different birds and best of all a herd of 8 manatees cruised by right after we returned to shore! We had beautiful conditions for the Sunset Yoga class on July 12th! It was hot but so pretty! Our instructor Julie with JAH Arts was great and the music was spot on with Matt. Do you see the snook to the left of the dock. It just hung there in the water motionless as we paddled by. We love when the wildlife cooperates on our tours!
When the water looks like this, you just can't stay on board!
This 9 armed starfish was not what it appeared. I thought it looked weird when I spotted it and realized what was wrong when I picked it up. It was already dead. I put it back and I'm sure it fed lots of other creatures.
SPLASH! Sometimes teambuilding goes this way. Look at the water, who cares!! We fall in on purpose on days like this one!!
Have you ever wondered what the interior of a mangrove island might look like? Well here you go! This island has no dry land in it, yet. In the future it probably will. That is one of the reasons mangroves are so important. They actually build land.
Beautiful blue skies, light breezes and clear water make for great backdrops for our tour photos. The photos we take are included with the price of the tour.
This little green sea turtle is one of several species we see regularly in the Indian River Lagoon system. What have you seen in the Lagoon?

Paddle boarding is a great way to hang out with friends on a hot summer day. We stopped frequently for swim breaks.

I was so surprised when this little blue heron just sat there when I drifted right up to it with the current.
The paddle the pocket tour goes through areas with beautiful homes and boats and beautiful mangrove tunnels. The sheltered bays are an added bonus!

This mangrove crab said hello with his claws. LOL. Isn't it cute? We only handle the wildlife for educational purposes, only when it's safe for them and us, and we return them back where we found them.
