Watch as artist Sarah Andreas paints Sugarcreek's Love Tusc Statue.
The goal of the LoveTusc: Tuscarawas County Sculpture Tour is to connect communities across Tuscarawas County through a collaborative sculpture series to encourage residents and visitors to experience Tuscarawas County's cultural identity. The sculpture will be in the shape of Tuscarawas County with a heart carved out of the middle of the sculpture. While the fabricated sculpture will be the same, each piece will be painted uniquely for that community with an artist from that community. Each sculptural piece will capture the spirit and cultural identity of its community.
Along with the completed sculpture pieces, there will be a county-wide scavenger hunt activity to engage residents and visitors to find all 20 LoveTusc sculptures during the Summer of 2024. Additionally, Our City Productions will be creating a documentary about the process and creation of the LoveTusc sculpture tour. The project's videos and images will be collected and compiled into a final documentary, which will be available for public viewing in June 2024.
As a county-wide public art installation, we invite the community to help us add the LoveTusc Project in each participating community and location one sculpture at a time!
