All the cool stuff yesterday! Landed a big barracuda on 12 # mono while snapper fishing. Came across three mating pairs of horseshoe crabs all laying eggs together on the top of a sandbar. Caught a mess of fish while huge free jumping tarpon put on a show.
We even had a dolphin es**rt coming back through perky creek.

Fun family day with laid back returning guests.
Started the day with a low tide walkabout on Marvin Key before heading west to drown bait.
This brief easterly flow has the fish feeling frisky.
Caught all the mangos we needed in one spot and left them biting.

Beautiful weather, hungry fish, and lots of laughs in the backcountry today. This fun Jersey crew put some quality fish on the boat in short order. All in the shelter of creeks and channels. Thanks for spending the day Outback with Jack!

Lots of life in the backcountry yesterday. We had two dolphin encounters and saw a large spotted eagle ray in the first ten minutes.
Had a huge low tide sandbar in the morning which made for perfect beachcombing.
Lemon sharks were everywhere which made the snapper fishing a little difficult. Still managed to catch a nice pile of mangos hiding up in the creeks.

Big thank you to Al and Marsha for spending another day with us this week. It was a beauty today so we traveled west a bit and tried some different things.
The mangrove snapper bite was fast and furious and we limited out in 20 minutes. Found a couple yellow jacks and a solid lane snapper tossing shrimp tipped jigs.
Al released two barracuda while hanging out on the beach to give us a nice variety.

Got a p**n on the toon today! Put Mike on his first tarpon right out of the gate this morning. Fishing was tough after that with a stiff south wind pushing against the incoming tide. We had lunch on the sandbar a little early while the current switched around. Went back at it with an outgoing tide and caught a quick 20 snapper to finish up the day. Always a good time in the backcountry!

Big thanks to Steve and Kristen for spending the day with us! We caught our limit mangrove of snapper and released a Goliath grouper. Also let go a bunch of mutton snapper that didn't make the cut. With gin clear water it was like snorkeling without getting wet.
We toured the creeks and had lunch at the South Marvin sandbar. A perfect day all around!

Another wonderful day in the backcountry with the Hill family.
Our second one this week. Fishing was a little tough but we put together a nice catch by the end of it. We caught our 4 person limit of snapper, a couple of yellow jacks, and had a losing battle with an acrobatic tarpon. Stone crabbing continues to be better than I've ever seen. Cracked the biggest claw of the season on the way out today.

I have a couple of open days left in March so reach out now if you'd like to get in on the fun.

Beautiful weather, fantastic fishing, and super fun company today. We caught the usual suspects and had lunch at a sparsely populated sandbar. A curious bald eagle payed us a visit while fishing one of the channels. Great to see them coming back each year now. You never know what you'll see in the backcountry.

I still have 2 open seats on the 11th. The last availability of the month. Please call/text 305 394 7032 for details and booking.

It was a fantastic day in the backcountry.
We pulled 12 big claws out of one trap before heading to the snapper grounds this morning. The fish were even more lit than the last couple of days. Took no time at all to limit out and we were being very selective. A lot of nice ones went back. As a bonus the water was finally clear and warm enough for me to jump in and grab a couple of lobster to add to the mix.
Had Marvin almost all to ourselves where we ate lunch and basked in the much appreciated sunshine.

Pretty as it gets out there today. Did the sandbar trifecta with perfect negative tide conditions. The snapper made it easy again with a quick limit for five.
Topped the day off with a fresh stone crab lunch on the beach. It doesn’t get any better.

We had a little bit of every season out there today. Started out cold and foggy but eventually worked into a hot sunny afternoon. It was one and done on crab traps with all that we needed. Fishing was the same with a one spot limit on chunky mangrove snapper. We spent some time at South Marvin, Snipe point, and had lunch at Marvin beach. Finished it off with a slow cruise through the creeks.

Absolutely crushed the snapper today! Bite was on fire and we left them chewing on the surface. Water is warming up finally and the critters are getting active. Had a very friendly dolphin es**rt us while checking my crab traps. Always a treat, especially in two feet of water. With empty sandbars and sunny skies it was as good as it gets out there.

Couldn't have asked for better weather or company in the backcountry today. The bite was tough but we kept bouncing around and put together a nice mix of fish. Topped the boat record snapper for the third time this winter. At nearly 26 inches this was the largest mangrove snapper I've ever seen in the trees.
Once the tide slacked we tucked up in the lee of an empty Marvin key for some sunshine and stone crab to finish the day.

I still have two seats open on a six hour excursion this Saturday the 1st. Please call or text 305 394 7032 for details and booking.
