Had an awesome day at Lightning yesterday with this fun chica! She showed up and said I just want to find one complete Meg that fills my palm and I'll be happy!! Well, it happened!! We dug and talked for about 3 hours before I suddenly heard her scream for me as I was walking to the truck. upon returning to the hole, I found her grinning from earlier to ear and using a bottle of water to reveal her tooth! ❤️❤️❤️ Congratulations Lisa!! Until next time my sweet new friend!!

First camper renovation project is going great! Floor is officially torn out and ready to be replaced and then this one will be going up to later this week!! Also, gave it a good pressure washing so we can add some new seal tape to prevent any future leaks! Thank you to the hero that donated this camper for a family in WNC to call home!! We will obviously share pictures and details of the camper arriving to its family when we get there!! ❤️❤️

We ended up having to walk away from the 5th wheel camper we were going to get as the damage was just too extensive and the repair costs would have ended up close to $6k! But we still have another camper we are working on so will post pics of that one once we start working on it!

Remember, we are still looking for more campers so if you have one you are willing to donate or even sell for $500 to $1,000 to support the cause of getting Hurricane Helene families a home, let us know! And again, if you want to help us help them you can either do so with a financial donation OR we could use some extra hands on knocking out the repairs!!

If going the funding route, send to:

Venmo:
Zelle: [email protected]
Paypal: [email protected]

If willing to volunteer with doing repairs, message me so we can get that work moving along ASAP!!

Had a 'Meg-tacular' time a few days ago at the Lightning Site! Our clients drove in from Western North Carolina once the roads were open and safe to spend the day digging through the dirt in the hopes of finding a Meg! This family had only ever beach hunted before but did amazing with pickup up the 'how and where' of dry digging and ended up landing quite a phenomenonal haul of fossil shark teeth including a 5.25" and a 3.5" Megalodon shark tooth! Congratulations guys! You did amazing!!

Like so many Americans, we sit in the warmth of our homes with the comfort of our families and a roof over pur head while thousands of our fellow Americans are freezing with snow now falling in the mountains of Western North Carolina. They have lost their homes, their jobs, family and friends, the towns they grew up in, and so much more. They face a new world that they can hardly recognize as being the places that they called home.

Although the support for these supply runs seems to be dwindling and the media has fallen off to keeping everyone on the outside up to date on just how bad it still is - I will not give up the mission to be a better human and help those in need. I was raised by a Baptist Preacher that taught me from the time I could walk to always "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

So I will keep fighting this fight until I feel they no longer need our help. Again, if you want to contribute to this cause:

Happy NATIONAL FOSSIL DAY!!!!
This amazing tooth is an Otodus angustidens from our property 'The Lightning Site'!! Dug straight out of the Edisto Formation near an ancient dolphin skeleton that we are working on excavating (will keep everyone updated whenever we do the excavation)! That is 100 families that will have a way to keep warm as the snow descends upon them!!

Don't forget!! We are heading back to WNC on Monday morning at 7 am to deliver critical needs supplies to the Broad River Fire Station heading towards Bat Cave. If you have any of the following that you are willing to donate and can drop off in Summerville, it would be greatly appreciated by us and the communities we will be serving this trip! If we end up with more than they need at this location, we will be taking the surplus to Madison and Yancey County. Again, it is completely OKAY if these are older items from your garage, shed or attic!! As long as they work!!

Generators (even willing to pay up to $200 for them if need be)
Propane tanks (can be empty, we will handle the refill)
Camping Stoves (these are nearly impossible to find in stores right now)
Kerosene or Propane Heaters (again, we can offer some form of financial imbursement if need be)
Kerosene
Tents
Sleeping Bags
Camp fire pots
Mini refrigerators (for diabetics with small generators)
Respirators, gloves, hard hats, work boots - going to lineman and grounds men working in these hazardous conditions.
Chainsaws (chainsaw files are no longer needed thanks to a generous donation for those by one of our followers)

Drop off point is 215 Cardinal Drive, Summerville SC 29485 and drop offs must be made before 6 pm tomorrow night.

10/10/2024

Well, back in SC as of 10 pm last night but still working to coordinate supply deliveries into some remote areas of WNC. The last 8 days has been a whirl wind of go-go-go to try to get life-saving support supplies delivered where needed. Over this time, we created a network of individuals from Lester, NC to Spartanburg SC, Charleston SC all the way to Burnsville, NC and then tied in with Savage Freedoms Relief Operations at the Harley Davidson in Swannanoa NC where they were and still are running critical needs supplies by way of 3 helicopters to those either stranded in the mountains or those with dire medical situations.

As Savage Freedom released statements of needs, our network raised funding daily and worked tirelessly to satisfy those needs and in doing so, we aided in the saving of lives. Together we raised somewhere around $10,000 and were able to deliver:

15 Generators
14 Chainsaws
33 Camping Stoves
20 Space Heaters
2 mini- refrigerators and a small ice maker (for diabetics)
Upwards of $1,500 in chainsaw fuel
5 Epi-Pens
Upwards of 220 small bottles of propane
20 plus larger propane tanks
100 Hard Hats
500 pairs of gloves
Between 30 to 40 respirators
125 feet worth of Climbing Ropes
175 gallons of fuel (between gas and diesel to 3 different locations)
20 Head lamps
18 LED Lanterns
15 Tire Plug Kits
9 25 ft extension cords and a 50 ft
155 Blankets
countless jackets
and soooo much more (not even going into the water, food, baby supplies, medical supplies, hygiene, etc..)

Meanwhile, Joshua Basak and Dustin Schneider took off into the "wild" so to speak on Tuesday morning to see if they could find any high need areas and were successful in their mission. They located an area way up in the mountains, and area without stores or a gas station and with roads destroyed by mudslides to the degree that they are no longer safe for getting trailers of material down. We delivered 75 gallons of fuel and chainsaw fuel to them upon arrival. While there, I met a man named Dr. Guffey who was requesting 5 gallons of fuel so he could continue tending to his patients in their mountain homes. He looked weary and stressed. I asked him, what else do you need and at first he looked a bit lost by this question. I explained to him who we are and what we are doing and he promptly filled me in on the needs of the community including a Paramedic named Mary who was and still is juggling being the only paramedic for their community right now and trying to tackle the tasks of so many other roles on top of that while working with severely restricted fuel supply, a lack of medical supplies including specific types of insulin, and absolutely no way to communicate aside from text.

Since then, we have been working tirelessly to get air support to them with the requested medicines and to figure out a way to get a larger fuel supply to them (preferably a tanker air dropped at the fire department). As of last night, we made contact with Air traffic control for the National Guard and they are working to get her at least the medications that she needs to be able to effectively care for the people in her service area. As of today, we are having two satelite radios delivered by truck to her so she will be able to communicate if she needs outside assistance. To put things in perspective, this is an area where if you have a heart attack, Mary is your only source of hope to survive. There is no means of getting to a hospital in a timely manner..

I am now communicating regularly with Mary via text to find out more of what is needed in the community (thus far they have not been asked these questions by anyone else on the outside).. Screenshot of her text below from earlier today shows the same types of needs that we have been raising to deliver to the air support hub in Swannanoa. Again, this is a community that is essentially trapped by limited fuel and unsafe roads for travel (following Highway 9 up to where Old Fort meets Bat Cave) and they are roughly 3 hours from any stores that have any of these items in stock and facing extreme cold temperatures in the evenings already.

So needless to say, our work in WNC is nowhere near done. I do want to point out that PFE is still running Excursions right now with 4 guides working but myself (Skye) and Josh will be back and forth between SC and WNC until we feel that we have done all we can to help.

If you have any of the items listed in the screen shot below in addition to the following list that you would like to donate, you can bring them to us at

215 Cardinal Drive, Summerville SC 29485
(you may also order supplies and have them delivered to this address for us to take in)

Additional Items:

Fuel cans or Fuel Transfer Tanks
Climbing Ropes
Work Boots (the chemical contamination is eating through workers boots at an alarming rate)
Respirators
Gloves
Hard hats
Blankets
Jackets
Thermals or sweat pants
Socks
(no other clothing items please)

And if you want to help us help WNC by way of monetary contribution, you can send funds to:

Venmo -
Zelle - [email protected]
PayPal - [email protected]

All funds received are being used to purchase these critical needs items and every bit helps.

Over in mountains between Black Mountain and Bat Cave NC - There is a serious need for:
small generators and small ice makers (for diabetics patients)
epi-pens
chainsaws, chainsaw fuel, bar and chain oil
Space heaters (temps are dropping into the 30's and 40's)
Camping stoves
Propane
Lanterns

If anyone has any of these items that they are willing to donate to this cause, you can drop them at our place at 215 Cardinal Drive, Summerville SC, 29485 if you're local to Charleston area (drop-off items wont make it to WNC until Sunday). If not local, text me at 843-908-0227 and we will try to arrange pick up of the items so we can get these things in here ASAP. Working with an AirDrop team to get these things in to areas not reachable by roads.

They do NOT need anymore diapers, wipes, water, or things of that nature AT THIS TIME. (That doesn't mean they won't need that in the weeks/months to come).

If anyone would like to make a contribution tonight to helping us get as many of these items as we can delivered to the air hub tomorrow you can do so by way of:

Venmo - (last 4 of cell is 0227)
Zelle - [email protected]
Paypal - [email protected]

The HUB we are working to support with these supply requests is the Savage Freedom HUB at Harley Davidson in Swannanoa which is servicing multiple counties by way of grounds support and 3 choppers that are flying supplies and coordinating rescues and trail clearing from literally sun up to sun down. HUGE shout out to the Savage Freedoms Relief Operations crew for their absolutely incredible work with saving lives!!!

We are in Simpsonville for the night to shower and grab more of these critical needs supplies before driving back in tomorrow morning!!
