Many cruisers enjoy the "Broadway style shows" that you find on most ships.
Well, Royal Caribbean has redefined entertainment at sea. They have raised the bar so high on these shows with their newest addition- "The Wizard of Oz" on the Icon of the Seas- that I would take a gander that no one will ever catch them.
I exercised the greatest restraint last night when I saw the show, because they asked us not to take pictures or videos. But today, at a special event for travel agents on board, we were treated to one of the numbers in the show where we were able to take video and pictures.
A live orchestra plays the music, and it is the largest orchestra at sea. The quality of the performers- the singing, dancing, and acting was as good as any I have actually seen on Broadway. Maybe better. The stage is actually larger than any stage on Broadway, which gives them more room to work with.

I have clients on their honeymoon in Europe right now, and I was so glad to see the bride post her own video of the twinkling lights on the Eiffel Tower. It makes for a magical moment, for sure, and one I hoped they would not miss while in Paris!
The next day, I had lunch with a friend who I had sent on a Christmas river cruise last year (and extended tour afterward). She mentioned that one of her favorite moments was looking up and seeing the lights on the tower twinkling! Don't miss this opportunity when you're in Paris for an evening.
