All container candles are poured with 100% Soy wax. Container candles are those that are poured into jars or tins.

Jill Hopkins has over 15 years of experience in candle making and is the owner, wax pourer, and all around busy bee of The Candle Cove, which is a home-based operation. Pillar candles, votives, wax tarts (for your melters), and specialty candles not in containers are poured with Soy or Palm wax. It's always up to my customers to choose what they would like, including the fragrance and color.

General information

For those who enjoy burning scented candles, Soy wax provides a healthy alternative to paraffin wax which is a by product of petroleum. Paraffin candles when burned, will produce black soot which not only settles on all surfaces in the location of the burning candle but can also create or aggravate health issues. Think of lighting a jar filled with gas in an enclosed area and you will get the picture. It is my utmost intention to not only educate others of the hazards of burning paraffin based candles, but to provide an alternative so that candle burning may be enjoyed by all without adverse side effects.
