November’s Thankful 5K has been a perfect way for employees to spend time in the sun, with the family, and with the pups! It may be snowing outside- but there’s still plenty of time to participate. Go for a walk, run, hike, or turn a fitness tracker on during work to record your 5K. Various prizes will be announced 12/1. 🌞🏃‍♂️🏔️🤳

Our Ski Season kicks off on Thanksgiving every year, giving us plenty to be thankful for.

Walk, Run, or turn the 5K tracker on during the workday to participate. Three Place tokens will be awarded to each participant that completes the challenge, and various prizes will be awarded at the end of the month. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Sun Valley Resort employees had the incredible opportunity to assist the U.S. Forest Service with planting 500 Whitebark Pine trees on Baldy! 🌲🏔️

Whitebark Pine trees are found in the high elevations of the soaring mountains. These marvelous trees can endure thin, rocky soil and extreme weather. They are the center of life for many high-elevation ecosystems, supplying nutritious seeds to species like Clark’s nutcrackers, grizzly, bears and other animals. Whitebark pine forests provide shade and wind protection that slows snowmelt, providing water into the summer.

Whitebark Pine are in steep decline throughout their range from a combination of factors. As a result, they have been listed as a threatened species in the US and endangered in Canada.
