🌟 2025: The Year of the Kearsarge! 🌟

The time has come for the MV Kearsarge to set sail on her next adventure—and we need your help to make it happen! After 40 years of service, the MV Kearsarge has become a piece of Sunapee history. Built by local craftsmen, she has hosted countless birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and special celebrations while cruising the waters of Sunapee. Many of you probably have a memory involving the Kearsarge. With the Lake Queen taking over dinner cruises, the Kearsarge is ready for a new adventure – either on the water or land!

We've been working on the future of the Kearsarge for years and it is time to take some action. Our hope has been to move her onto land and used in the community. The possibilities are endless—Does she become a beer & wine bar 🍷🍺, a community function space, or a museum celebrating our local maritime history? However, our biggest challenge is finding a space (on the lake or land) to keep her. Additionally, transporting the Kearsarge long distances via roads is expensive due to her height and power lines. With the dock lease for the Kearsarge expiring soon, we need to make some decisions, and we are officially open to all suggestions, including a private sale or donation. Our worst case scenario would be dismantling her.

Here’s where we need your help... 🚨 Many have inquired about what her future is and we’re looking for your ideas, support, and feedback! Please take a minute to complete the very brief survey (link below) and share any ideas you may have in the comments. Feel free to message or email if you are interested in purchasing the boat or have a location for her, temporary or long-term.

What an amazing day Sunday was! Thanks to the incredible support of our community,
we are able to donate over $5,000 to help feed those impacted by the hurricanes!!

Thank you to everyone who attended the fundraiser at the Appleseed Restaurant and Catering, or had a meal at the Landing or Sunapee Cruises. Sunday was the perfect example of how awesome our community is!

🍴 Help us help feed those impacted by hurricane Helene!!

Tomorrow, Sunday, we're donating a portion of sales from all of our eateries (Appleseed Restaurant and Catering, Fenton's Landing, and Sunapee Cruises) to World Central Kitchen! World Central Kitchen is a nonprofit organization focused on feeding people impacted by disasters and crises. They are currently working in several southern states that are in need. Besides feeding people, they also use as many local products and producers as possible.

🍎 The Appleseed will be hosting a buffet Sunday night starting at 5pm (watch the video on the Appleseed page for more details).
