ches of the 60's in place, this reverse 1 1/2 story Ranch Style Lake Home was the office of the "Real Inn Resort" on Shawnee Bend One up until 1970. Located on the West side of the lake in Sunrise Beach at Davey Hollow Cove (11.5 mm), the RETRO RETREAT is the perfect location for your lake adventures. The RETRO RETREAT is a unique property offering 2 separate but connected living spaces for your group. Upstairs has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom while the downstairs apartment has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. A great way to vacation with your group by being together but still having privacy with your living space. Upstairs at the RETRO RETREAT you'll enter the home through the beautiful screened in porch. You'll notice the cool 60's decor and the open and spacious living area with 2 couches and funky floor seating to accommodate your group. Take a moment to look at the vintage postcards and maps that have been enlarged and hung on the walls to bring the vintage feel of the lake to your stay. The massive stone fireplace is original to the house and made from local Gunther sandstone. Next you'll see the modern version of a throw back and very comfortable dining area for 6 (with space to seat up to 8), vintage buffet and a wall mounted Internet ready HD flat screen TV with cable and a Blu-Ray player. WIFI goes all the way to the dock. The 8' sliding glass door is original to the house and offers amazing views of the lake from inside and outside the house. You'll love eating in this space. The RETRO RETREAT upstairs kitchen is a cooks dream. The L-shaped layout has custom hickory cabinets, stainless steel appliances including a 5 burner natural gas standard/convection oven, refrigerator with ice and water through the door, dishwasher and microwave oven. There's a funky stainless steel restaurant work table that functions as a super fun island. It's perfect for lake chefs who will also find a 4 slice toaster, Keuring coffee maker and Fiestaware dishes for plating their creations. There's plenty of pots and pans, utensils and glassware for your lake dining as well. Continuing to explore upstairs at the RETRO RETREAT you'll find 3 fully renovated bedrooms (all with ceiling fans) and the bathroom. Down the hall, the lake side master bedroom on your right features a comfy Queen size platform bed (linens provided) with lots of inviting pillows to rest your head on. You'll enjoy the HD wall mounted flat screen TV, 6' original sliding glass door with access to the shaded deck, vintage dresser and an ample closet to store your clothes once you've unpacked. Vintage postcards & maps bring the vintage feel of the lake to your stay. Across the hall is the 2nd bedroom located on the street side of the house. This room has another comfy Queen size platform bed (linens provided) with lots of pillows, 2 vintage dressers and a large closet to store your clothing. A comfy retro side chair is ready to relax in or read a book. Kids of all ages will love the 3rd bedroom/bunk room with the oversize bunk bed. It has 2 twin beds (linens provided) with wall mounted reading lights and plugs for pads & phones next to each bed. Relax, play or sleep in the comfortable nook across from the bunks with its foam sofa that makes out to a queen size bed if needed. Across the hall is the sleek and modern bathroom with plenty of drawers in the cabinet to hold your personal items, good lighting and a great walk-in shower with a window. You'll love to open the window and take in the fresh air while showering. Bath towels, hand towels and washcloths are provided. You'll enter downstairs at the RETRO RETREAT through the indoor staircase located off the kitchen or by using the outside door on the lower level of the house. The darling updated kitchen retains its original turquoise Formica and steel edged countertops, but has a modern stainless electric stove and side by side stainless refrigerator with water and ice through the door. Other modern appliances include a toaster, Braun coffee maker, and microwave. Plenty of pots and pans, utensils, glassware and dishes are all ready for your use. Super fun stainless steel eating bar with black vinyl swivel stools keeps the retro vibe going. Downstairs of the RETRO RETREAT has a comfortable open floor plan in the living area with plenty of seating on the sofa and loveseat. You'll enjoy great views of the lake from the original 8' sliding glass door and the fireplace is made from Gunther Sandstone just like the one upstairs. Enjoy watching the 37" wall mounted flat screen TV with cable and blueray player with Vudu. Enough floor space to place a Queen size inflatable bed (we have available) for more sleeping space if needed. Kids will love sleeping on the couch and love seat. Games, books and videos are waiting for you to enjoy. Down the hall is the bedroom (with ceiling fan) with a comfy Queen bed (linens provided) with lots of inviting pillows to rest your head on. Even the furniture reminds you of the swinging 60's with plenty of room to unpack and store your bathing suits and shorts in the retro dresser or large closet. And you'll surely enjoy gazing at the lake while laying in bed. The downstairs RETRO RETREAT bathroom is fully renovated and includes an extra tall and wide vanity. A step is hiding underneath the vanity for the kiddos. The tub/shower has tile to the ceiling, ledges to hold your shower supplies and a window. Washer and dryer are located in the downstairs utility room. Your outdoor spaces include a spacious upper level wooden deck with lakeview patio dining for 6 and a very nice gas grill, a covered patio with bistro table and seating for 2 downstairs, and lakeside table and seating for 4 on the martini deck. The screened in porch is spacious with lots of comfortable seating to spend the lazy summer days. And it has it's own outdoor TV so you won't miss your favorite shows! There are sun shades and commercial fans to add to your comfort on the those warmer summer days. A great dining and play spot for kids is the 6 foot table and folding chairs for 4 on the screened porch. You'll be ready to jump in the lake on the covered dock from the big swim/sunbathing platform. Two kayaks (with oars and life jackets) are ready for exploring the cove and surrounding area. The dock is located in deep water Davey Hollow Cove. No boat slip is available but watercraft up to 28 feet can be tied to the side of the dock (don't forget to bring your bumpers!). Close to many of the lake's fun stops like Captain Ron's, Franky & Louie's, Paradise and Papa Chubby's by water or car. The boat launch on the property is not suited for launching your watercraft, but you can access the free public boat launch just minutes away by car and water. Boat/jet ski rentals and gas are located directly across the cove at Bikini Pier. Just 6 miles to the Community Bridge and minutes to the Outlet Mall, movie theater, mini golf and shopping in Osage Beach. There is plenty of onsite parking.
