Robert & I are here on the island this week. We’ve had a lot of rain today with some wind but not nearly as bad as it’s been south of Wilmington; in Southport, Carolina Beach & Oak Island. Keeping those folks in our thoughts and prayers! And praying things will stay calm here as the night progresses!

I was able to check an item off of my bucket list when I was at The Topsul Turtle a couple weeks ago and witnessed the “boiling” of a sea turtle nest. 122 of these precious little babies made it safely to the ocean that night. It was definitely something special to witness!!!

There are still multiple nest that will be hatching into late September, early October.

June may have the longest day of the year, but we have sea turtles! We are open 7 days a week during the month of June! Remember RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED! Get your tickets soon as we sell out daily!

Great restaurant!!!

We’ve had several people inquire about us and our location, so I figured I would share a little bit about us. Riverview Cafe is a family owned and operated restaurant that has been in business since 1946, and is the oldest restaurant in Onslow County. We’ve been voted #1 Seafood in Onslow County for 20+ years now. We serve a variety of seafood, hand-cut ribeye steaks, grilled pork chops, and chicken, as well as a wide variety of other menu items. We also have homemade meringue pies which were the recipe of the owners mom, Miss Janice, Melissa now makes them, and does an wonderful job making everyone’s favorite pies.
