Finally time for chillin w/two of the three Bunts Kids" today - Erin Bunts, Kelly Bunts and our favorite son-in- law; Aaron Hamer. Missing Ryan Bunts for sure this year on our almost complete family Holiday weekend 2024.

Pago, Pago (pronounced "pango - pango" as we've been told). A pretty, albeit very hot port which is part of the US Territory which we visited today

On to Apia in Samoa (not part of the US Samoa) about 41 nautical miles away.

PS . We lose an ENTIRE DAY as we sleep. We move the clock 24 hours ahead tonight and will forever lose January 31st 2024. When we wake up tomorrow, it will be February 1st - feels kind of crazy!

Just arrived after having left the World Cruise Center in Las Angeles on January 11th -

So fortunate to be with an amazing group of folks on a World Cruise segment- Los Angelas to Sydney, Australia on Seabourn Sojourn (our first super small - but ultra luxury ship experience - more to come about that later).

Very happy to be on land today after 6 full sea days (we had a stop in Catalina Island off the coast of LA on the 12th).

Our first of 5 Hawaiian Islands is Hilo -

We made it to the other side. We so enjoy a transatlantic crossing but also love the first stop on the other side. The sea days were exceptionally calm - this one the best we've ever experienced.

We've had perfect weather from day one of our trip and today is pretty perfect (except for a little shower early this morning) it's sunny and 82 with that warm tropical breeze.

Tomorrow we are back on US soil with our final port (a favorite) of San Juan before the last 2 sea days and then back to reality for at least a little while.

Tonight was White Night throughout the entire ship with a production show featuring a song that brings me great emotion - Con te Partiro

Con te Partiro was originally released by Italian opera singer, Andrea Botticelli in 1995 - and has become an official or unofficial song for MSC (I get chills every time I hear the intro and then all the way thru the dramatic ending) .

We were very fortunate to be able to see and hear Andrea's son Matteo perform live one year ago this week.

I took the photo below of Matteo Botticelli with my friend and colleague Tina at the December 6th /7th 2022 Event on Seascape in NYC.
