You will find snook, redfish, mullet, triple tail, grouper, snapper, trout, king mackerel, spanish mackerel, panfish, bass and catfish in these waters, along with many other species of fish. This is truly a fisherman's paradise. If you like watersports or just cruising in your boat, the Suwannee River is beautiful and the perfect place to enjoy yourself. Manatee Springs, Fanning Springs, and Hart Springs State Parks are a short boat cruise away. Not to mention scalloping is just a boat ride North to Horseshoe.
