Relax, unwind and enjoy the simple way of life. Swan Lake is one of the best kept secrets for Maine lakes and recreational areas. Eagle Point is a beautiful location with plenty of shoreline for you to explore. Eagles, loons, ducks, humming birds, bass, salmon and trout are common species to this area. Wildlife is endless. The décor replicates an authentic 1920’s camp style living. Most of the int

erior is original. Repainted almost entirely inside and out with most original colors, or left untouched. The old exterior color was brown and red asphalt shingled on top half. However, we decided to bring the bathroom facilities inside rather than using the former outhouse! Once called Birch Point, the cottage on Eagle Point is the oldest building on E. Eagles Lane and possibly top ten oldest on Swan Lake. Even more reason to preserve what is left of natural habitat. Evidence of bear claw markings are located on the west side of the building. Large sized meat hooks hung from the first floor ceiling inside and outside on the porch. This indicates operations of an old hunting camp. Also, we believe this used to be a thriving homestead at one time. We found chicken hatcheries underneath the camp during the initial clean out. You could imagine how they lived and what they did to survive. We welcome you to Eagle Point and hope you have a wonderful stay!
