10-minute teaches! So much is learned by teachers and students alike!

FSU Opera is looking for singing children (or older!). Similar to The Cunning Little V***n last spring, FSU is once again looking for children to join the chorus ensemble. The opera will be performed in German and the staging commitments are fairly minimal in the grand scheme of opera chorus commitments.

If you have a child who is a strong singer and is confident on stage, please consider having them audition for the children’s chorus this Saturday, September 14 from 2-4 pm and Sunday, September 15 from 4:30-6:30 pm in HMU 088. A prepared song – with or without piano – will be asked for at the start of rehearsals and Chorus Master Augusto Girotto will check vocal range and repetition ability. A pianist will be provided for auditions, but parents should plan on bringing sheet music for the pianist to read.

Interested parents should fill out the linked form to pre-register for an audition. An audition schedule will be sent out tomorrow though walk-up auditions will also be accepted.

Thank you to all who support the FSU CCC. Last night's informance was so much fun. Despite our collaborative pianist being out with COVID and many choristers out with the flu or the stomach bug, we all sang our hearts out and tried to show you that Singing is Forever! Thanks to all our instrumental friends who helped make the sharing event even better!
