Celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with the MLK Day Parade and Festival in Tallahassee! Bring the whole family on Monday, Jan. 20, as the parade kicks off at 12 PM along North Monroe Street, followed by the MLK Day Festival at Cascades Park from 1:30-6 PM. Enjoy live entertainment, local food vendors, and family-friendly fun.

🎶 End the day of celebration with live entertainment by Tallahassee Nights Live at the Adderley Amphitheater from 4-6 p.m.

We also welcomed new attractions and restaurants that make Florida's Capital City shine brighter than ever. ✨

Whether you strolled through one of the 700+ miles of trails, danced under the stars at the Adderley Amphitheater, or discovered hidden gems in our local dining scene, this year was one for the books. And it’s all thanks to YOU—the locals and visitors who made every moment unforgettable. ❤️

Take them to Cascades Park to see the First Florida Capitol!

The community-built building is a replica of the 1824 log cabin Capitol that served as Florida’s first legislative home.

Once inside, see the miniature model meticulously crafted by Museum Artisan Conrad Brayman to commemorate this year’s Tallahassee-Leon County Bicentennial.

The First Florida Capitol is open Saturdays 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Sundays 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Special tours are also available upon request.
