Sometimes I never see or hear from the guests that stay in The Kondo Tiki. But then there is the times when you get some fun guests that share pictures and really enjoy the stay. Kelley & Sandy came into town for a conference, but I secretly think they enjoyed the condo and the resort more.😎

New addition to The Kondo-Tiki. This animated Parrot. Well, he was actually already in the condo, but unplugged and stuffed into the corner waiting for his Enchanted Tiki Room inspired perch to be built. It was handmade by Rarabird The PrimitivaDiva and the Parrot has been given a name...The Chief. Book the condo and come have a chat with him.

Rarabird The PrimitivaDiva : "Aging things really just means making them dirty. (Like my aged, wretched hands.) And a few store-bought tikis which were white, or shiny (there is no white or shiny in Tiki!!) a “too new” looking pylon bundle (should I have painted fake bird p**p on it?), a stark white shell that I made looked like it was dredged up from an ancient sea, a set of fake, bright travel stickers (for the “Joe” trunk), rubbed with brown paint, and my fingers, which ended up looking like a gorilla’s after I finished."

First official feedback from first guest to stay in The Kondo Tiki. Keep in mind this guest booked many months ago before it was even decided that this condo would become a tiki themed vacation rental. I gave them a heads up a few weeks before they got here and they saw no pictures in advance.

Laura finished the 14 foot curtains. If the couch was her Moby Dick, these curtains were hery Kraken. I swear, there was so much fabric involved in this, Lady Di’s wedding dress got jealous.
