Last week I attended an on-site training at Walt Disney World with a bunch of other travel agents with Fairytale Journeys. We were led by some of the best in the biz, and I learned SO MUCH! 🤓📝 This was an amazing opportunity to completely immerse ourselves in the Disney travel world 🏰 and I’m so excited to share it all with you in the coming months! 🤗

🪵 Today is the last day that guests will be able to ride Disney’s classic ride- Splash Mountain.

📆 But don’t worry! There are big plans in the works!

🐸 The ride is being revamped to include a Princess and the Frog theme- and will reopen in 2024 as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!!

So it’s not goodbye Splash Mountain, it’s see ya real soon!

Ride Spotlight • Slinky Dog Dash

This one may be just as fun, if not a little more than Mine Train (that could be subjective of course)!

Slinky Dog Dash is the first-ever Disney coaster to offer a double-launch! Towards the middle of the ride, the coaster slows to a gentle stop before Slinky Dog tells riders to “Hold on!” and backs up before relaunching up a hill.

The cool thing about this one is that it also only has a 38 inch height requirement meaning most kids will be able to ride at an early age!

This is one you will want to grab at rope drop or early in general! The lines get long and if the weather gets rainy, it will shut down since it is an outdoor coaster.

If you think it is fun during the day, also try to catch it at night! It puts a whole new perspective on Toy Story Land!

As we prep for Tropical Storm Ian to hit Florida this week, it got me thinking about how often it does rain at Walt Disney World. Here are just a few tips to prepare:

✌🏻Pack 2 pairs of shoes

👟Wear Sandals on days most likely to rain (not flip flops!). There’s nothing worse than wet socks and flip flops are not safe to wear in the rain!

☔️ Pack rain jackets or ponchos for every person. Bring gallon ziploc bags to store the wet items.

🎢 All outdoor attractions will shut down during a storm where lightning is detected.

💦 Bring a water bottle and snacks for your room. Many Disney Rooms are a walk to the main sundries area and you don’t want to be caught off guard.

As a reminder, it does rain very often in Walt Disney World, and oftentimes not for long periods at a time. However, it is always good to be prepared for the rain so it doesn’t ruin your day!
