**Discovering Ischia: A Hidden Gem Off the Coast of Naples**
When travelers think of islands off the coast of Naples, Capri often comes to mind. However, nestled in the Tyrrhenian Sea lies Ischia, a breathtaking island known for its stunning beaches, thermal spas, and picturesque landscapes. Often overshadowed by its more famous neighbor, Capri, Ischia offers a more tranquil and authentic Italian experience. With its lush greenery, charming villages, and crystal-clear waters, Ischia is a paradise waiting to be explored.
During my recent trip to Ischia, I had the pleasure of spending a day at Giardino Eden Beach Club, one of the island’s most exclusive and beautiful beach clubs. Located on the eastern side of the island, Giardino Eden offers unparalleled views across the bay of Cartaromana and is known for its luxurious amenities and serene ambiance. I opted for the Sea Deck package, which included a sun bed with sweeping sea views across the bay. The sun bed was not only comfortable but also shaded, providing a perfect spot to relax and soak in the scenery. One of the highlights of the Sea Deck was the ladder right next to our bed, giving us direct access to the crystal-clear waters of the bay. It was a truly elite experience, combining comfort and convenience in the most picturesque setting.
For those seeking a different experience, Giardino Eden offers several alternative seating options. The most coveted spot at Giardino Eden, "On the Rocks," allows guests to lounge on natural rock formations. This location offers an evocative and total relaxation experience, though it does not provide direct access to the water, which was why I chose the Sea Deck instead. For guests who love the sea without compromise, the pier provides all the comforts of the Beach Club locations with the possibility of having the sea at a stone’s throw. The pier includes a convenient access ladder resting directly on the seabed and the renowned view of the Aragonese Castle typical of Giardino Eden. This option is perfect for those who want to be as close to the water as possible.
The beach club’s waiting service was impeccable. From the comfort of our sun bed, we ordered a refreshing plate of fresh-cut fruit, plenty of water, and a platter of mini Italian desserts. The staff was attentive and ensured we had everything we needed to enjoy our day to the fullest. Midway through the day, we changed into beach-casual clothing and headed to Giardino Eden’s sea restaurant for lunch. We were fortunate to secure the best seat in the house, offering a stunning view of the Aragonese Castle. The food was impeccable – some of the freshest seafood we have ever had. The combination of delicious food, breathtaking views, and the gentle sea breeze made for an unforgettable dining experience. After lunch, we changed back into our swimwear and explored the various pools the club had to offer, including a hydrotherapy hot tub. The pools were the perfect complement to the sea, providing a relaxing way to unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Our day at Giardino Eden Beach Club was nothing short of spectacular. From the luxurious amenities to the exceptional service and stunning views, it was an experience that made us feel like a million bucks.
