Stone crab season is here!

From October to May, this Florida delicacy can be found on menus all across Tampa Bay.

Stone crabs are usually found along the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts, but commercial harvesting takes place off the Florida peninsula because the warm, tropical waters give the meat a milder, more savory taste. Only the claws of stone crabs can be harvested as the crabs can regenerate them. It's illegal to keep the whole crab. The bodies are returned to the water where they will regrow their claws.

Stone crabs are delicious in their simplicity: crack it, make a good sauce (typically mustard based), and serve fresh.

After a 13-year hiatus, Red Bull Flugtag is BACK in Tampa Bay Nov. 9!

The spectacle opens at noon with the flying machine flights taking off at 1 PM. Will these brave innovators soar above the waters of Tampa Bay or make a splash?

Yesterday, we hosted our 39th Annual Meeting. Our sold-out event at The Motor Enclave was a huge success! Tampa Bay’s momentum is propelling us to new heights —fueling economic growth, supporting over 59,000 tourism jobs.
