Tips on driving down to Disney from the DC Metro area ♥️

1️⃣Are you driving thru the night? Pack a separate go bag for the morning with toiletries, meds, change of clothes, etc that you will need Saturday morning. Also pack a second go bag with your park stuff....magic bands, meds, suntan lotion, pins (not all of them as it will be too heavy), wallet, deodorant, baby wipes, extra clothes for your baby

2️⃣ Stopping at a hotel for the night? Be sure to pack a small bag with everything you need that night and the next morning so you don't have to dig out and carry in the large suitcase(s)

3️⃣ When stopping for gas, try your best to fill up right before leaving VA. NC gas tax is killer. Also, try to stop at Loves, Pilot or Flying J only. Clean, big, bright, cheap and several food options.

4️⃣ Keep wipes and disposable grocery bags close by in the car for spills, garbage and car sickness.

5️⃣ Speaking of car sickness, dose everyone up before you go.

6️⃣ Put warm PJs on the kids before heading out so you don't have to wake them to change their clothes.

7️⃣ Before leaving check out the traffic on 95. Decide if it would be better to head down to Warrenton on the back roads and then over to Fredericksburg to bypass traffic.

8️⃣ If you can get to Fredericksburg VA, there are LOTS of food options for everyone. Our tradition is to stop at Panera for dinner as we usually leave home btwn 4--5 pm.

9️⃣ Have a bag/box of easily accessible snacks.
