Hey! We have two new dates for upcoming foraging classes at John Chesnut Park, May 6th and May 13th. There’s no better time than now to get out and learn the abundance of nutrition and medicine that we have right outside our door. This time ‘round were teaming up with who happen to be our favorite source for raw milk, grass fed grass finished beef, and(for real) bone marrow butter, plus so much more. I had a request from a couple for a “coastal foraging and private island lunch” charter this week and this scored and tender conch sashimi with crunchy garlic chili oil and soy sauce was the star. Overshadowed by the conch was also stone crab claws, conch ceviche, sea purslane, and grilled sea trout. These are unique trips and a lot of fun. Stone crab season starts October 15th. I am offering just a few of these one of a kind Florida experiences throughout the months of October and November. These are 6-8 hour trips where we’ll go out and snorkel for stone crabs(don’t be intimidated, it’s very shallow and easy and I’ll teach you), fish, and then relax at our own island where we’ll make stone crab grilled cheese sandwiches(or any other crab dish) over a campfire. This is a super fun trip and is awesome for any experience level! I’ll only be offering a small handful of these trips so don’t wait to get booked.
