Fun, safe and full of treats!

It’s here! The official map for the Downtown Tehachapi Treat Trail has arrived!
Trick or treat safely from businesses to business on Halloween night from 4:30-7 in downtown Tehachapi. All ages are welcome, just dress up! 🤠

Please remember this is all volunteer work and we’d like to thank each and every business for coming together to make this an amazing event for our community year after year.

If you come down, make sure to thank all the businesses for participating. This is 100% a volunteer event so all tricks and treats provided come directly out of our local mom and pop’s pockets.

We’re still asking for donations of candy that will be spread throughout the businesses. Most of these businesses are spending $200+ on candy for the night. If you are able to help, even one bag goes a long way.

We can’t wait to see all of your costumes. See you Thursday for Halloween! 🎃

Have you visited Tehachapi and wondered what these odd looking benches are? These benches are a tribute to Tehachapi wind energy and made from recycled turbine blades. They were manufactured by a company called Canvus and donated to the City of Tehachapi thanks to a contribution from a local renewable energy company. You can find them at the American Legion on F Street, the Visitors Center, TPD pickleball courts and a few more locations coming soon. Scan the QR on the benches for the unique story about each bench’s origin.

Welcome PCT Hikers! Tehachapi loves to see hikers in town and there are a lot of resources! From many devoted trail angels to restaurants that offer free drinks and snacks, this town loves being on the PCT. Stop by the Visitor Center (200 W Tehachapi Blvd) for free WiFi, a cold drink, a chance to relax and regroup, call a trail angel and more.

Have you seen this swanky new bench outside the Visitor Center? It's a Canvas bench, made from recycled wind turbines and it's surprisingly comfortable. Come have a seat while the kids play on the playground at Freedom Plaza or while you plan your Tehachapi adventure.

The Visitor Center is operated by volunteers. It is open Thurs-Sun from 11am-3pm. Come over and say hi to our friendly docents and learn about Tehachapi!

Bingo this Friday!

AMERICAN LEGION BINGO will be held Friday, March 3, at Tehachapi Post 221, 125 E. F St., Tehachapi. Don't miss out!

Doors open at 4pm with games starting at 6pm sharp. Must be at least 18 years old to play. Minimum buy in of $15 per player, second card $10, and $5 for each additional card played. Only those individuals playing are permitted inside the bingo hall during games.

Bingo is played the first Friday of each month and is open to the public. All proceeds benefit Children & Youth, Veterans, and Military Families. Come join the fun!!
