The Disney Magic is the oldest ship of the Disney Cruise Line fleet. It carry’s the smallest number of passengers and crew, but it makes up for its size with the magic that only Disney can create. We have been on cruises on the Disney Fantasy out of Port Canaveral and the Disney Dream out of Fort Lauderdale but this was our first out of the port of Galveston. Of course sailing out of Galveston made it very convenient for us since it was just a 3.5 hour drive. Parking is easy when using the Port of Galveston parking lots. You can prepay and pull up, scan your QR code and park. They provide a free shuttle that takes you right to the doors for check in. Next week we will talk about when Disney Magic sails from Galveston.

The weather wasn’t so great when we sailed from Galveston. But it hasn’t been a typical spring in Texas either. But the fun was still there and our cruise got started with the traditional Sail Away Celebration with Mickey and the gang. It was just the first of several awesome shows that the cast of the Disney Magic put on during our five night cruise. Next week we will talk about the performances that we experienced onboard.
