Our Story

In May of 2006, Mike and Debbie, owner-operators of Temecula Valley Cable Car Wine Tours, purchased a motorized 1914 San Francisco cable car. Debbie was reluctant to purchase the car because of the shape it was in but Mike saw something that Debbie did not. He could visualize a restored San Francisco cable car running through Temecula wine country and couldn’t wait to get it back to their 5 acres in Temecula to begin the restoration. It took over two years to refurbish it to its original condition and with a lot of patience, sand paper, paint and mechanical parts, they are proud to share it with you with a tour through beautiful Temecula wine country. The San Francisco cable car is the only historical moving monument left in the United States and even though their cable car is motorized, you will have the feel of San Francisco with the taste of Temecula Valley wine country. Remember, this is a real cable car not a trolley. They strive to take you back in time to 1914 on a historical monument and enjoy Temecula’s beautiful wineries. Come join us on an experience you will never forget!
