We also offer lodging upon request. Our quaint, two-bedroom, waterfront cottage as a rental to our clients. The cottage comfortably sleeps 6 people and is fully furnished within 20' of the ocean. We rent it by the night. All you need to bring is your food. We have easy access to lobsters for those who would enjoy eating them on the deck. It is located in St. George (next to our cottage and dock) and offers seclusion and peace and quiet. Sea Ventures Charters looks forward to hearing from you!

Glorious day! We started out tuna fishing and wham! An enormous Thresher Shark was on one of the lines! After quite some time, this big beautiful matriarch joined us for a tag and our admiration before her release. She measured 15.5 feet with a tremendous whip-tail. We couldn’t get accurate weight because she was too heavy in the girth to get the tape measure under. We estimate between 700-800 lbs. She left us all feeling awed. A huge beautiful old fish who can still rule her part of the sea. An inspirational experience.

Fabulous time with the Falmouth Fishers! Catching bait first then we were off to the shark grounds. A nice healthy female blue shark was tagged and released by Evan. And then … a Mako! Spectacular jumps and a lesson in persistence to get a tag in this huge female. She did not join us onboard - although she seemed to want to come right in the transom door! Three anglers helped each other with this amazing Mako - Cooper, Ty and Max. Cameron and Capt. Dave managed the scene and Indi captured it all on film. An amazing day with these strong and adventurous guys. Their smiles help tell the story.

When you come all the way from West Virginia, you are happy to catch mackerel and … sharks! (Ok, the crew was too busy to snap pics of the two porbeagle sharks and one blue shark that were tagged and released! True story.) There is a pic of the small porbeagle with a nasty tail bite from something in the water with big teeth. 😳 She swam away with no difficulty and she should recover. A great day with this well-traveled and adventurous group. Come back any time!

Lighthouse Tour! Incredible day with Mary K. who completed photographing four iconic Maine lighthouses today! We should add that Mary has already photographed 87% of all the lighthouses in the continental United States! A delightful day with this lovely and accomplished photographer. A special treat not on her itinerary was an amazing interaction with Atlantic puffins on Eastern Egg Rock. (This writer is a humble photographer and had the best viewing ever of our precious puffins!) What an adventurous family we had aboard Lady Anne on a foggy day in Maine! They caught fish and enjoyed the views and made all of us happy. And they are our neighbors! We’re hoping to see them often when they return to our seaside road in the future. Thank you for showing us how it’s done!

August 27, 2022: Midcoast Maine: On board FV Lady Anne … this happened. A lovely day shark fishing with two beautiful blue sharks tagged and released when a big mako took the bait. Everyone was enjoying the acrobatics of the mako when …. (Watch video clip). A once-in-a-lifetime experience! Thankfully, no one on board was injured! Astonishingly, the mako was measured, tagged, nudged toward the transom door and released. Dave and Cameron did an incredible job keeping people (and the mako) safe. We want to acknowledge Chris Kingsbury and his band of boys for their cool heads, assistance, and this awesome video.

Starting a beautiful dive day with a ferry ride to Lady Anne. Then an amazing interaction with an ocean sunfish -- Mola mola. The dives off Monhegan Island were also spectacular with epic visibility. What a day!
