Our star guide, Jordan Creech, captured this once in a lifetime moment of a white newborn bison in Yellowstone a few days ago. This is an extremely rare sighting and has great spiritual significance to many. He is getting a lot of recognition for these photos since so few people saw this, let alone photographed it. Look for more national attention on his images at the Washington Post and possibly on NBC news. This was on an amazing trip in partnership with - and

We primarily focus on Rocky Mountain critters here at wild things but we also love to experience the wild world beyond Wyoming. This was an amazing opportunity to see a variant of orca that specializes in preying on other whales and marine mammals. The difference between males and females is very clear by the end of the clip.

Summer Wildlife Safari Guide & Naturalist Hiking Guide (Housing Available)

Location: Teton Village, WY. USA (Grand Teton NP, Jackson Hole & Yellowstone NP)

Position Description: Join us for the best job in the world guiding natural history safaris and hikes in Wyoming. Half-day wildlife safaris, full day Grand Teton safaris, alpine naturalist hikes, and full-day Yellowstone safaris. General natural history knowledge is ideal but lots of local training is available. This is a seasonal (summer) position, but there is potential for year-round work. We collaborate with great conservation/ecotourism organizations such as Natural Habitat Adventures, WWF, National Geographic, Lindblad Expeditions, Yellowstone Forever, Grand Teton Association, Wyoming Wildlife for Tomorrow, and the Yellowstone Wolf Project. Candidates with photography and Astronomy program experience are especially recognized but theses skills are not required. Strongest candidates will have great people skills and enjoy families with kids and love storytelling as it relates to natural history. You can check us out at www.wildthingsofwyoming.com and on tripadvisor.

Pay & Perks: Daily rate starts at $125 for half day trips and $275 for full day trips….DOE. Many bonus opportunities including social media posts and end-of-year bonus. Gratuities on our trips tend to be extremely generous and range from $50 to $400 per day. We have a very nice tiny house for employee housing…in a perfect world, a couple with guiding experience would find this a great summer housing option in our area which has very little affordable housing availability. Pro-deals with most outdoor companies are available and any training will be paid.

On an Alaska scouting trip for Wild Things, we experienced one of the most extraordinary sightings we've every encountered! We ended up surrounded by an large pod of Orcas in Kenai Fjords National Park for over two hours and watched in awe as these extraordinary whales hunted, played and even breached. This full grown female decided to change course and head directly toward our small skiff and swim directly underneath us.....it was an inspirational moment which is what we at Wild Things are constantly striving to achieve on every safari.

Now is a great time to visit Grand Teton and Yellowstone!

This week in Yellowstone, six of our clients got to experience starting a huge bear jam from scratch. We spotted this bear as a small brown spot, he came closer and eventually swam over to an island filled with delicious Cow Parsnip flowers.

We had an exceptional whale day here on the Norway coast yesterday with a s***m whale, many long-finned pilot whales and this sighting of killer whales. Based on the shape of the eye patch and the gray “saddle” behind the dorsal fin, this is a type 1 Atlantic killer whale which means that it eats primarily fish as opposed to other marine mammals. Taken while guiding for

One of our local favorite wildlife sightings here in Jackson Hole! Great Gray Owls are hard to find but make for extremely cooperative subjects for photographers when we are lucky enough to find them. This one flew away tonight shortly after this pic was taken in perfect silence.

Each of our safari rigs is designed to be the best wildlife-watching vehicle in the world. These are our newest (one is called 'badger' and the other one is 'squatch') The vans take over a year to design and manufacture, but really set our safari company apart. We look forward to sharing our natural world and wildlife with you!
