Located in Baltimore City's Pigtown Historic District, Pigtown Ale House has finally opened in what was once three rowhouses that were combined over the years. A bar or tavern since at least the 1930's, Pigtown Ale House has been renovated to show off an exposed brick wall with recylced ceiling tins serving as a half wall 'wainscot' type finish. The oak floors have been sanded down and resealed, n

ew tile was laid in the entry way and on the bathroom floors and a 12 tap draught system was installed. Currently focusing on Maryland craft brews as well as a few regional ones, Pigtown Ale House also offers Maryland distilled spirits and will be serving signature creative cocktails using these locally sourced spirits. When the kitchen opens, the menu will feature specialty burgers along with grilled chicken. We'll also have tasty appetizers to choose from and healthy salads along with a soup and chili offering in the colder months to warm you up.

Pigtown Ale House is happy to announce that we will be open for drinks and socializing Monday, December 23 and Tuesday, December 24, 2019! Hours will be 4:45pm until 10pm or later. Feel free to bring food (kitchen is closed) and family and have a glass of wine or a few beers. Plenty of table space for gift wrapping or game playing if you want as well. Happy Holidays!

Great things brewing (distilling!) in Maryland! Also in other news Harris Fire Protection is working on installing the fire suppression system for my kitchen hood! It still may take a bunch of weeks as permits still have to be pulled. Slowly getting there. Will announce kitchen opening plans as it gets closer. Cheers!

Good morning Pigtown! Still working on getting the kitchen re-opened. I believe I now have all the fridges, freezers and fryers for the back of the house. Maybe one or two more needed eventually for behind the bar for canned and bottled beers. It’s just a slow process juggling this work with other projects. Hopefully opening the kitchen late summer/early Fall. Stay tuned! (Pics from a recent trip to a great local Maryland brewer just north of town)
