🌟 **"El Camino me mata!"... but we keep going!** 🥾💀

One of the many things that makes the Camino de Santiago so special is the humor and camaraderie that comes with the journey. This design perfectly captures the mix of exhaustion and determination that every pilgrim feels at some point along the way.

Whether you're powering through blisters, carrying your pack like a pro, or just trying to survive that last hill, the Camino is always worth it for the friendships, memories, and personal growth it brings.

Have you heard of the Botafumeiro?

This giant incense burner in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela is a breathtaking sight as it swings through the air during special ceremonies. While it doesn’t happen at every Mass, witnessing this centuries-old tradition is an unforgettable highlight for many pilgrims.

Is it just me, or does anyone else sit and watch the live feed of the Irache Wine Fountain when they’re missing the Camino? 🍷🎥 It's oddly soothing... and a little entertaining! Check it out: https://www.irache.com/es/fuente-del-vino.html

Usually, the most practical way to arrive at your Camino starting point is by train. Renfe, the official Spanish train system, can be booked as early as 6-8 weeks before departure. Trains are clean, efficient, and provide a scenic view of the Spanish countryside. If booking independently, only use the official website, renfe.com

🌟 Exciting News! 🌟

Hi everyone! As a proud volunteer with the Contemplative Network, I’m thrilled to share an incredible opportunity with you. This June, we’re hosting a one-of-a-kind event in Rome, Italy:

✨ Faith and Science Conference Enhanced by Art, Music, and Interfaith Mysticism ✨
📅 June 17-20, 2025 | During the Jubilee Year

The theme is "A Journey into God's Mystical Love," and this gathering is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. We're bringing together world-renowned scientists (some connected to Nobel Laureates!), clergy from different faiths, and people like YOU—seeking to explore how faith and science can inspire and reinforce each other.

Highlights include:
🌍 Keynote talks bridging topics like physics and creation, chemistry and life, and psychology and mysticism.
🙏 Daily interfaith Centering Prayer led by clergy from Abrahamic traditions.
🎶 Evening events, like sacred music performances in iconic venues (yes, the Sistine Chapel!).
✨ A final session on the neuroscience of prayer’s impact on our quality of life.

And… we’re hoping for a private audience with Pope Francis to close the conference!

This event is designed for non-scientists and non-theologians—it’s accessible, welcoming, and deeply inspiring.

If you’ve ever wanted to explore the intersection of faith, science, and mysticism, this is your chance. Let’s journey together into the profound beauty of God’s love and the mysteries of the universe.

💻 Learn more and register at www.faith-science.org.

I’ll be there—will you join me? 🙏💡

Santiago is magical in December! Beautiful Christmas lights and market, street lights and festive shops. We have a few pilgrims still walking this week, and then we'll be finished for the year. Our Hike the Way team attended the pilgrim mass yesterday and prayed for our past and future pilgrims. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a beautiful holiday season.
