Shelter Hope rescued Sonic and Lil Man last month! Here are their updates!
Today, Shelter Hope rescued these two adorable 6 year old pups Tripp (m) and Juni (f). The owners had neglected their medical needs, never treated them like family, and had them crated the majority of the time. After downsizing from a house to an apartment, the limited space and limited human contact was especially hard on these babies. They surrendered Tripp and Juni to us and it's now our top priority to get them the care they deserve. They will be available for adoption once they have been vetted, fixed, and rehabilitated!
More about Tripp and Juni:
They are 6 year old Maltese mixes. They are friendly, leash trained, house trained, potty trained and good with kids.
Meet Lil Red and the Judge! Both were rescued earlier this year. One of our rescuers got a text about a small dog hit by a car in south la. He was injured and roaming around the neighborhood for days. He had four broken ribs, a broken jaw, one tooth and a crack in his back. The owner of Shelter Hope, Kim Sill, adopted him. He has since made a full recovery and can write his name in the sand!! Go Lil Red!! As for the judge... One man's trash is another man's treasure! Kim found him in a dumpster and decided to keep him. Now he's become Shelter Hope's unofficial mascot.
IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN PART 1, GO WATCH!!
To apply for an appointment, go to our website and then select the adoption tab. Then fill out our adoption questionnaire. If you're approved we will reach out to set up a time for you to come by. It takes a few days to process the applications so we appreciate your patience! Feel free to reach out with any questions.
All 6 available dogs are doing great but are by no means 100% rehabilitated. They went through a lot of trauma and it will take time, patience, and love to get them to adjust and relax into a new home.
A huge thank you to Simi Valley Non-Profit Spay and Neuter Clinic for making room for all these dogs on such short notice. 2 dogs can turn into 12. Please spay/neuter your dogs!!
A few more updates:
Little Hickory still needs more time to heal from his flea dermititis and socialize, so he will be available when he's ready.
Not pictured: The other 4 available dogs were boarded at Barks n Rec to get more accumulated and comfortable. They are still adjusting but are making great progress!!
Janss market place and regal cinemas have supported shelter hope for 13 years. Please come and visit us and while you're here support our supporters! Mission impossible, Barbie, and Oppenheimer are all waiting for you with a reclining seat!
