Does all the news with the new Disney Genie 🧞‍♂️ service have you feeling confused? Let’s me share what I’ve learned.

Disney Genie 🧞‍♂️ is complimentary and is accessible through your My Disney Experience app. Genie will help with itinerary planning and give you a schedule based on your ride preferences. Disney Genie 🧞‍♂️ will update in real time and change suggestions based on wait times. I think this is the perfect tool to maximize your day at Disney!

Disney Genie+ is a paid service similar to the old Fast Pass+ system. For $15 per day per ticket, you have Lightning Lane ⚡️access to multiple attractions. Starting at 7am the day of your visit, you can book your first Lightning Lane ⚡️ experience. After you redeem your first one, you can redeem another one and so on throughout the day. Disney has said that this service will not sell out but attractions are subject to availability. This tells me that some Lightning Lane selections will not be available later in the day. You can also only use the Lightning Lane once per attraction. So if your kids want to ride Splash Mountain a second time after redeeming the Lightning Lane for it, you will have to wait in the regular standby queue. This is different from Fast Pass+ where you could book the same ride again if available.

Disney Genie+ has other features including exclusive AR lenses you can use for photo experiences throughout the park and audio clips with interesting facts and history tidbits of attractions in the park.

Individual Lightning Lane ⚡️is totally separate from Disney Genie+ 🧞‍♂️You do not need to purchase Disney Genie+ 🧞‍♂️to access the Individual Lightning Lane ⚡️attractions. You can only access two of these attractions per day. This is true for base tickets or park hopping. Each park has two attractions in this category. Individual Lightning Lane ⚡️ rates will be on a sliding scale based on the date. The prices will range from $7-$15 per person per ride. These are available for purchase through your My Disney Experience app for the day of your visit.

The christening of a ship is part of the ceremonial launching of a new vessel. A cruise ship christening is a gala event featuring celebrities, cruise line executives, engineers who helped with the ship's design, travel agents, journalists and other VIPs. The event often includes lavish entertainment by famous musicians or local acts, and speeches by cruise line execs. The cruise line will have chosen a well-known godmother to participate in the christening.
