We hope everyone has a wonderful New Year! With 2025 now here, here are a couple of things to keep in mind if traveling more is your New Year’s resolution:

- On May 7th, 2025 you must have a REAL ID in order to fly domestically. This means you must have the star on your drivers license/ID or say enhanced. You can fly domestically with your in date passport in lieu of the REAL ID.

- Starting January 8th, 2025 you will be required to have an ETA if you are visiting the UK. This will also be required even if you just have a connecting flight in the UK.

- In mid-2025 you will be required to apply for an ETIAS authorization in order to visit various European countries such as France, Italy, Germany and more. Exact effective date has not yet been determined.

Travelling during the holidays can be stressful for anyone. To help you out, we have listed a few tips to help relieve that stress and make your life easier! We think tip number 6 is the most important😉

1. Plan a little extra - Travelling during the holidays sometimes takes a little extra planning. Some attractions, restaurants, or stores may have different holiday hours or closures so you'll want to check to make sure. Many restaurants may be a little extra busy so you'll want to make sure to have reservations in advance.

2. Be knowledgeable about flying regulations - Make sure to research that your items, especially any gifts, are approved by the TSA. You may want to even leave some gifts unwrapped to help the TSA identify items quickly or ship them to the destination ahead of time. you may want to think of ways to help make the airport easier such as wearing easily removable shoes, downloading the airline's app, and having required documents ready to go.

3. Get a check up on your vehicle - If you're planning to drive to get to your destination, make sure to do a check up on your car. That way you'll have peace of mind on safety as well as less likely to have any sudden issues arise while you're travelling.

4. Make a checklist - Whether it be a list of things you need to do while travelling, before travelling, or just of what to pack, a checklist can help immensely. You'll be less likely to forget important things meaning less stress or extra purchases on the trip.

5. Special items for travelling internationally - If you're travelling internationally, make sure you have everything you need. Check immigration requirements in case you need any extra documents such as a visa. Also, check that expiration date on your passport as many countries require at least 6 months validity to enter. You'll also want to bring an adapter for your electronics.

6. Most importantly...HAVE A TRAVEL AGENT! - As you can see there are lots of things to keep in mind when travelling. Having a travel agent means that you have someone that can help do some of this research for you. We are here to answer any questions or concerns you may have and help out if a situation arises.
