🏃🏽‍♀️The 43rd Annual Tofte Trek, a 10K trail run/walk on July 4th, is a favorite for locals and visitors. Starting and finishing at Birch Grove School, this course offers fun for all ages with kids' races and a youth mile run. Hey Lutsen fam!

Starting June 1 there will be a significant logging project to remove dead trees killed by spruce budworm and mitigate fire risk. This will involve parts of the 99er and 69er course. The Forest Service and logging company have graciously allowed us ONE DAY use for the race on June 29th.  The area is closed to ALL TRAFFIC - cars, bikes and pedestrians, starting June 1st. You WILL NOT be able to pre-ride this area of the course. We need you to respect this closure for your safety and for our ability to have the race this year. Please see the maps under the course tabs of our website for suggested pre-ride alternate routes to avoid this area!

Spring Skiing Tips from Sawtooth Outfitters in Tofte

Spring skiing on the North Shore - from the cross country trails to the lakes and of course, Lutsen Mountains - skiing can extend well into April if conditions are right. Sarah from Sawtooth Outfitters has some great tips for making the most of what remains of skiing on a trail system like the Sugarbush Trail Association. Happy spring skiing! Grooming will continue only as conditions allow and will be assesed on a day by day basis. However, the most trails remain open unless otherwise stated.
