I had to take a trip to Tombstone this morning, Wednesday the 28th of August, to remove my photos from the walls of the Tombstone Gallery.

You won't find my work there throughout the month of September during the Gallery's Art Show.

After retrieving my stuff and loading it up into Smadge's rear hatch, I wandered through town to take some rustic images. Satisfied that I had taken enough, Smadge, Cam and I drove northwest on famous Allen Street, soon becoming Monument Street, where the pavement gave way to dirt and gravel.

About a dusty mile and some change later we pulled into the Tombstone Monument Guest Ranch. Just as we entered the gate and off to the right I saw the most beautiful head of hair cascading down a thirsty steed's crown, strands nearly dipping in the water barrel from which he drank.

I needed to get a close up to try and capture those soulful eyes that were trying to hide behind the mat of red-brown locks.

I was able to take several shots, but this was the one that spoke loudest to me. This was the one that saw me for who I am.
