Friends: we have made the difficult decision to temporarily pause our helicopter tour operations due to COVID-19.

We are unable to socially distance in flight, and the safety of our staff and customers is and has always been our top priority. We will let everyone know as soon as it's safe to resume operations.

In the meantime, be safe, wear a mask, and enjoy the sunshine.

Cowlitz County recently sold the Hoffstadt Bluffs Visitor Center, which is the location that Hillsboro Aviation has operated its Mt. St. Helens helicopter tours out of for over 20 years. As such, we are not in a position to offer helicopter tours of Mt. St. Helens out of the Hoffstadt Bluffs Visitor Center for the summer 2017 season. But don't worry- we still offer tours of Mt. St. Helens departing from the Portland-Metro area!

In business since 1980, we continue to operate helicopter and airplane tours around the Pacific Northwest, including wine country, the Oregon Coast, downtown Portland, the Columbia Gorge, Mt. Hood, golf excursions, executive charter, and much more!

8:32 a.m. – Mount St. Helens 36 years ago today - A 5.1 magnitude earthquake rocks Mount St. Helens forcing the bulging north side to collapse in the largest landslide in recorded history! This lateral blast ranged in speeds of 225-730 mph at temperatures of 120-390 degrees F.
