Taking Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) chapter 0836 is a local chapter of TOPS Club Inc. located in Towanda, Pa. We hold meetings once a week on Thursdays.

Towanda chapter 0836 holds weekly weigh ins from 4:30 to 5:50 p.m. on Thursdays at Trinity Lutheran Church in Towanda, Pa. A meeting is held following weigh ins at 6 p.m. Never been to a TOPS meeting? Feel free to come and visit, your first meeting is free of charge. If you decide to join the group, the cost is $28 once a year for membership and $4 a month thereafter in chapter dues. Once you join

the group, your annual membership includes a subscription to the organization's bi-monthly magazine called TOPS News. You, or your doctor chooses how you lose the weight. With TOPS, members have the freedom to choose the program that best fits them, although helpful information is provided in publications such as "My Day One" to assist one on their journey. Joining TOPS is a great way to add accountability to your weight loss journey and support along the way. Have fun with games, contests and events. After weigh ins, meetings are conducted with both weekly and monthly contests as well as other contests of varying length. One can earn recognition and awards for their progress along the way. If you like to have fun while losing weight, TOPS may be for you.
