Our Story

I missed my exit, Charles went to see a banker and we ended up with a camp!!! Best decision we ever made (besides marrying each other!). Camp Mountain Lake is a unique experience of returning to summer camp with amenities! The site, once a boys and girls camp, has been lovingly updated and renovated to meet the needs of those wanting to get away from their daily rigors. 3 year round cabins are available offering WiFi, cooking facilities, 1 and 2 bedrooms and full bathrooms. Seasonal cabins are available that offer the camping experience with additional amenities such as an efficiency kitchen, table and chairs for dining or reading and 1 or 2 queen beds. Shower houses are available for the seasonal cabins, and indoor dry toilets are in each cabin. A community area provides a covered gas grill, picnic tables and outdoor activities such as corn hole, horseshoes and a large firewood provided fire pit. Outdoor tent camping is provided at the basecamp that is fenced in and includes 6 private tent sites, each with a picnic table, a community fire-pit and bathroom and shower facilities. Swimming, fishing, and boating is offered just a short walking distance away at Grundy Lakes State Park. The park is open to all from sunrise to sunset. Hiking is fantastic in this park and also at the many state parks surrounding Camp Mountain Lake Retreats.
