This past week or so I have been trying to catch up with some of my client’s quilts.
Both quilts I am featuring today were made by Cathy. Even though they are quite different, I custom freehand quilted both quilts. To see more about these quilts visit my blog.
I hope you enjoyed viewing these quilts. I want to get better at taking pictures of the quilts I quilt for my clients.

Final decision for the fabric for my 2024 Temperature Quilt. changed out the Georgia Peach in place of the Terracotta Tile. I have a lot of Terracotta Tile leftover from another project but it is just too dark for right there. I am trying to use what I can that is leftover from last year. I am very happy with this palette now and it is time to order the rest of the fabric. Slide right to see my earlier pick. The final pic is the fabric from my 2023 temperature quilt.

Brynn will be a year old on February 6th and I finally finished her Name Quilt. This is a throw size quilt. I have made one for each of my grandchildren so far. So, this is number 4 and I still need to make one for Berkley. He will be one on March 16th. I really want to get it done before his birthday.

My daughter chose the pattern and fabric for this quilt. One of the reasons it took so long to get it done is this was the third pattern she chose, and we ordered fabric 3 different times. But not only did it put me behind with Brynn’s quilt, but I am now behind with Berkley’s quilt. Honestly, I can’t blame my daughter for me being behind, I just didn’t do much sewing at all last year.
I believe all of the fabrics used in this quilt are Art Gallery except for the background, which is Peppered Cotton in Oyster. Peppered Cotton Oyster is my favorite background fabric right now.
Recently I have been getting most of my Art Gallery Fabric from Pear Tree Market on Etsy. They carry a lot of Art Gallery and are very quick at shipping it out.

Finally quilting my granddaughter’s name quilt. Will share all about it when it’s done; soon!

This is the first UFO I am working on for May. It is a Pineapple Block. I originally had the top completed and now I did not like it. The fabrics were very dark. Twenty years ago, I loved those colors, but NOT now.

I was in a quandary over what to do with it. I decided to bleach it. I soaked it in the washer with a lot of Clorox. At the end of the day there were still some fabrics that did not fade enough for my liking.

So, I got out my battery powered stitch ripper and took the entire quilt apart. The fabric that I did not like got tossed. I pressed each block that I was left with.

As you can see in the picture not all my remaining blocks are the same size. I am now ready to start putting this quilt top together.

I now love the look of these blocks. Let’s see what I can come up with.

I quilted this Ukrainian tribute quilt for Carol. It was fun doing my thing on this little quilt. Carol requested the yellow thread and I love how it shows up on the back.
