Far Fetched Fishing Charters

Please take a look at some of the programs I am offering through Northwestern Michigan College.

The first program is a program on how to fish the big lakes. We will review what you need in equipment and how to use it. The program is being offerd on May 9 starting at 6 pm

A second program is catch and cook. This is being offered on June 9th. As the title says, we will go out and try and catch some fish. Lunch will be at Harringtons by the bay immediately following.

The third program is Great lakes charter fishing for kids. A parent(guardian) and child go out and learn about fishing the great lakes and about the fish and other species we might find. This is a great educational program for kids and a lot of fun.

Calm water, the bay is protected on three sides from winds and waves. Remember waves are built because of wind and distance they can grow. This means more comfort to our guests

Just wanted to let everyone know that we are catching a few salmon on every am trip. Not a lot but enought that we have been targeting them. I am hoping that this fishing will get better as we move along this month Maybe it is time to book that trip

No Aaron did not catch this fish. It is the first big salmon caught on a charter boat in Leland this season. Maybe more of these great fish will be coming to our waters. Lake trout continue to be the big catch. We are still getting limits of trout on most trips. The boat is running great and ready to take you fishing

Fishing from Leland continues to be very strong. Most boats are getting limits of Lake trout on the half day trips. We have heard reports from Wisconsin that the salmon are on that shore and active. Let's hope those fish find a way to northern Michigan. Boat is running great and is ready. Give us a call. Let's go fishing

Yes, a back to the boat thursday. Dave and I are headed out about 1 to finish up several projects that were not finished. I have a new radio and speakers to install, new deck plates, and a couple minor things to get done. Lake Trout fishing has been spectacular. Every trip this year has had limit catches and we are seeing some good sizes of fish. [ 66 more words. ]

What a couple of weeks. We had another back to the boat tuesday and finished the rod holder project on the radar arch. Really came out nice and will give us that many more spots to put the extra rods Had a couple of my regular customers come by and got to go fishing. The first trip was a limit of lake trout and a nice king salmon. [ 34 more words. ]

Well, we better be because our first trip is tomorrow. There is still a lot to clean on the boat. I will be taking the power washer to Leland today and try to get a lot of cleaning done on the outside. Inside we will have to vaccum, wipe down, organize, and inventory. The water tank has to be filled, rigs made ready, ice put in the cooler and off we will go. [ 28 more words. ]

A major decision was reached in the backyards yesterday. Dave and I decided that we should go back to the boat this Tuesday and finish a couple projects we started. Not a lot of things to do but it will require an effort from the design group, engineering group, installation group and finishing group, ie Dave and Scott Lots of stuff to clean on the boat.
