We are so grateful to all of you who have already booked your vacation for 2023. I have never seen a year like this in the 7 years that we've owned this unit. Effective for new reservations only, starting November 9, 2022.

We have had to make a hard decision on our cleaning fee policy this year. Our cleaning fee costs have increased 32%, we have just been notified that our HOA will increase 21% in 2023 (on top of this year's 13% increase), in addition our electric costs have also increased 24% in 2022. As we continue to look to way to keep our rates, we have to be realistic in how we're managing our unit. We will continue to offer those who stay with us 7 nights or more a discounted rate as well as 5% off their rates as a repeat guest, but we will be discontinuing waiving the cleaning fees as part of this program.

We will continue monitor other Vrbo listings and the front desk rates to ensure that we are offering the most affordable stay at Sunset Vistas. We hope this doesn't change anyone's thoughts to return to Sunset Vistas 303N to make future memories. We are always looking for ways to cut our costs, but some costs are simply out of our control.

Is COVID over in Florida?

The short answer: No

As most of you have heard Gov. Desantis has rescinded all government restrictions in the State of Florida around COVID-19. This does not mean that you should not wear a mask or social distance. This only means that the government cannot force you to do so. Therefore, if you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, then you are still free to make your own decision. However, if you do not want to wear a mask, you also are free to make your own decision. Businesses still may require you to wear a mask, so be prepared to don a mask if requested by a business owner or find a different business to spend your hard earned money.

COVID is definitely not over, it has been around since 2003, it will continue to mutate and will be around for the rest of our lives. No one has said it is "over". We are just being asked to be adults again after handing those reigns to the state government for over a year.

As is the case prior to COVID: continue to respect others decisions (even if they aren't yours) and practice safe hygiene (including, but not limited to, brushing your teeth and washing your hands).

If you decide to not wear a mask: SMILE! It's contagious and some people haven't seen one in 14 months 😃

I know this is a small upgrade, but we just added a small workstation to Sunset Vistas 303N this week.

We continue to make improvements to the changing needs of our guests. As far as we know, no other unit has a workstation in their unit.

We strive to give our guests a unique stay with the same experience and lower rates than you would get by booking with the front desk. We hope you all enjoy this small upgrade, at the same time we hope you never have to use it... but sometimes work calls, even on vacation.
