You & that tree 🌲 in your yard? You’re distant cousins. No joke! A long, long time ago (like, way back), you two went separate ways. But guess what? Even now, after so much time apart, you still have stuff in common. Yep, you share some of the same genes. Weird, right?

This idea comes from a book 📕 called “The Overstory” by Richard Powers. It’s kinda neat to think about!

Now, there’s another book that’s all about trees. It’s called “The Hidden Life of Trees” by Peter Wohlleben. This guy LOVES trees. He thinks they’re super special. He even says they can feel pain & remember things!

Trees are like us in some ways. They live in families & talk to each other. Cool, huh? And get this - trees help each other out. When one tree is sick, the others share food with it. Aww!
