Captain Jon Borreson - Fishing Guide Guided Fishing & Bowfishing Trips on Mississippi River with Captain Jon Borreson. Fishing Pool 6,7, & 8. Trempealeau, Winona, La Crosse Trips are full day only.

Most of my guiding takes place out of Trempealeau WI.. Trempealeau is home to Lock and Dam 6 and allows us to fish both pools 6 and 7. I am willing to travel if you want to fish different pools. Pools I would guide on are 5a, 6, 7, and 8. Ice fishing trips are done by airboat and start mid December til mid March ice depending.

We didn't need a summers worth of rain overnight! Yesterday and last night we received up to 8" of rain in much of western Wisconsin. It made a mess for everyone trying to get there crops off, flooding basements, and destroying driveways but the up side is we need it and more for good ice fishing! High water in fall going into winter means main channel perch will seek bays and weed beds out for food and to avoid heavy current. We are currently booking trips for winter starting December 15 so get your dates on the calander at www.blownawayfishing.com or calling me at 608-797-2997.
