Oregon might not be world renowned as a “Must Go” travel destination, but it should be and here are 5 reasons why… 1️⃣ We’ve got the Pacific Ocean bordering the west side of the state with miles and miles of jaw dropping beaches. And you can go to all of them for free! 2️⃣ We have gorgeous mountains that run all the way down the state from north to south creating the lush green west side of the state, and the golden vast high desert to the east. 3️⃣ One of those mountains is a volcano, and inside the crater of that volcano is a lake!! There’s a freakin’ lake inside a volcano! 4️⃣ We have a lot of waterfalls. Everyone knows about Multnomah Falls, but there are at least 237 other waterfalls throughout the state. That’s a lot. And they’re all pretty great. 5️⃣ According to AllTrails, there are 2,935 hiking trails, 1,731 running trails, and 1,232 walking trails in Oregon. So that means there’s a lot of ground to cover, with a lot of great sights to see.
