As of September 3rd, NCL is opening up sailings to everyone regardless of your vaccination status. I don't want this post to turn into a debate about Covid and Vaccines. It is merely to inform those of you with medical conditions (and couldn't get the vaccine) that the sea is yours, once again! I'm sure it's been a long 29 months! Are you ready to cruise? Think a destination on your bucket list is not a reality? Think again! Sometimes you just have to have a little flexibility! Before I offend anyone I want to say this is not a group trip I'm opening up to the public. Egypt has been number 1 on my bucket list since I was a kid. So the last thing I want to do is to organize, work and worry on this vacation! I do however want to share how inexpensive a dream vacation can be! Several friends and I are heading to Cairo, Luxor and a 4 night Nile River Cruise. Take a look at the basic costs...

*Flight from NYC w/ bags to Cairo $588
*Hotel overlooking the pyramids for 3 nights $200 (including airport pickup) Pyramid laser and light show on the rooftop patio included.
*A 4 Night cruise including all meals, a hot air balloon ride over the valley of the kings, guided tours to Aswan, Edfu and Luxor - $399 per person. (shuttle to and from the airport to the hotel and to the cruise included).
*Total entrance fees to all of the tours on the cruise.
*Round trip flights from Cairo to Luxor and *return) Aswan to Cairo w/ bags $160
*Private tour in Luxor $30
*Hotel in Luxor $50 per person.
and more (too much to list) Additional tours are more. Most entrance fees are just a few US dollars.
Total - $1512 per person for 8 nights 9 days! (10 total including travel)
100 Egyptian Pounds is worth about $5.20 American Dollars. So everything for Americans is extremely inexpensive. The average 3 course meal is about $10 for us.

I was just able to add 2 more balcony rooms and 2 inside cabins to our Mexican Riviera Cruise on NCL! Want to join us? We're sailing November 20-27th. That is Thanksgiving week.

Inside cabin Is $2713 for 2 people. So $1356 per person (plus change) That includes all taxes, port fees, gratuities for the wait staff, house keeping and even your bartenders. All meals are included plus 1 meal each in the specialty dining restaurants, the unlimited adult beverages package which includes many top shelf and craft beers and also a $100 on board credit per stateroom.

BALCONY is $3578 or $1789 per person and that would include everything listed for an inside cabin plus and additional meal per person in the specialty dining restaurant (so 2 meals each), $50 per port (per stateroom) toward shore excursions and 150 minutes each of wifi minutes.

Other rooms available are Studio cabins for solo travelers, Ocean view, club balcony suite, spa balcony, Haven.... You wouldn't get the onboard credit with the other rooms but you will get all of the perks.

If anyone is interested let me know and I will price them out for you. There's also a buy one flight get one free sale. Send me your preferred airport for the rate. The last time I checked it averaged about $250 per person from Albany.
