While the Troy Travelers return home, me, Ray and MG take an extended trip to Rome. Our first visit was to the Piazza Navona, the Colosseum, the Forum and the Piazza Venezia square. The temperature was way too hot, but the sites were just amazing!!🥵 🇮🇹 🥰

Troy Travelers made the best of a missed flight in Paris. Just go to the Eiffel Tower!! Then take a bus tour of the city! France completes country #6 on this extended tour! Make the best of your travel experiences and have fun!! 🥰🥂🚌✈️ 🇫🇷 ❤️

The Troy Travelers trip grand finale is the amazing city of Prague! We had a guided tour of the Prague Castle, St. Vitas Cathedral, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square and the famous medieval astronomical clock. Then plenty of free time in the afternoon to explore this magical city of bridges, cathedrals, gold-tipped towers and church domes.
Then with a bonus day in Prague, due to the cancelled flight, the group enjoyed a beautiful lunch cruise. And several had the opportunity to attend a concert of Handel, Vivaldi, Mozart, Schubert, Beethoven 🎶❤️

Today our Troy Travelers tour takes us to Céčka Republika, our fifth county. On our way to Prague we stopped in the beautiful town of Český Krumlov for lunch. It seems as though it was pulled straight from a fairytale. The city center fans out from around an ornate tower and castle that rise from the banks of the Vltava River.
Český Krumlov is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town escaped the bombings in World War II, which is the reason why the old city is so well preserved.❤️🇨🇿 🏰 🛶🥰

Berchtesgaden, Germany was next on our Troy Travelers tour. We started the day with a visit to Eagle’s Nest, (the Kehlsteinhaus). It is a N**i-constructed building on top of a 6000 ft summit. It was used exclusively by members of the N**i Party for government and social meetings.
Then we went to the beautiful Konigsee Lake for lunch. It is a 5 miles long narrow lake, surrounded by sheer mountain walls, like a fjord. The last tour of the day was the Hallein Salt Mine. It is an underground salt mine located in the Dürrnberg plateau above Hallein, Austria. The world’s oldest salt mine, it has been worked for over 2600 years since the time of the Celtic tribes. During our tour we crossed the subterranean border between Austria and Germany, rode on a mine train, and sled down two miners’ slides deeper and deeper into the mountain. The slides were definitely the highlight!!❤️🇦🇹🏔️⚒️🧂 🇩🇪 🥰

Troy Travelers tour of Salzburg, Austria was outstanding. We started the day in the Old City with a visit to Mozart’s birthplace museum. Then a tour of several of the Sound of Music sights that were filmed there. Including the cemetery scene as the Von Trapp family was trying to escape the Germans, and the Do, Ra, Me stairs in Mirabell Gardens.
We had the opportunity to ride the funicular up to Salzburg Hohensalzburg (castle), with beautiful views of the surrounding area. Finally a fun traditional Austrian experience, dinner at The Augustiner Brewery, Prost!! 🎻🎹🎼🕍🥨🍺

Today was a travel day from Lucerne to Salzburg for our Troy Travelers. We visited 4 countries in one day. Quick stop in Liechtenstein to get our passports stamp and some souvenir shopping.
Next we went to see the famous Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany, believed to be Disney’s inspiration for the Sleeping Beauty Castle. We had lots of great photo ops and a delicious traditional German lunch.
Also got an awesome view of the Hohenschwangau Castle close by. Made it to Salzburg, Austria tonight and looking forward to our tour tomorrow!

Switzerland is the first stop for the Troy Travelers. We had an awesome tour of Lucerne. Some of the highlights of the day where the Löwendenkmal (Lion Monument) symbolizing the Swiss soldiers' courage, strength, and willingness to die rather than to betray their oath of service.
The Kapellbrücke or chapel bridge – an incredible 650 years old – is one of the oldest covered bridges in Europe.
Mt. Pilatus Visit- Cable cars and a cogwheel railway taking us up 7000 ft to the top and down again, with breathtaking views.
An afternoon swim in the lake and a traditional Swiss fondue for dinner!

We leave for our Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Prague Tour in just a few days! Looking forward to historic fairytale towns, beautiful scenery, chocolate, Sound of Music, Mozart, wonderful food, and mugs of beer all clinking together to create a totally yodel-y adventure!
I enjoy putting these fabulous tours together and help create experiences to last a lifetime! I am also so happy to have such a wonderful group of people to share them with!
