No parking reservation for Palisades Tahoe or Northstar? No problem! TART’s free Park and Ride service has you covered weekends through April 13th:

Palisades Tahoe: Park at the Tahoe City Transit Center or Truckee High School fields and catch buses/shuttles every 20 minutes.

Northstar California: Park at the Lift Truckee offices for hourly service to Northstar (extra buses on Jan 19, Feb 22, & 23).

We join the Truckee Tahoe community in mourning the loss of Cesar Jose Andres Aguilar. A funeral mass was held today at Assumption of the Blessed Mary Catholic Church in Truckee, followed by a procession around Casa Baeza.

Cesar was a caring and active member of our Truckee community and he is greatly missed already. He always had a smile, enthusiasm, and loved his work and the people at Casa Baeza, from co-workers to customers. These photos are from a feature in last winter's Truckee Magazine, photos courtesy of Chris Talbot photography. We offer sincere condolences to all of Cesar's family and friends.

Truckee Chamber member Reno-Tahoe International Airport is gearing up for its busiest week of the year. More than 15,000 passengers are expected to pass through the airport daily between Christmas and New Year's week. Plan ahead: Arrive an additional 30 minutes before your flight to allow for parking .Overflow lots are in use. Or better yet, take a rideshare or have a friend drop you off.

Have you heard that Frontier Airlines is returning to Reno-Tahoe International Airport? Frontier, that prides itself on quality, low-cost options for travelers returns to Reno with direct flights between Las Vegas and Denver 3x a week starting March 7, 2025!

Thank you to Northstar California Resort/Wild Pine for a wonderful start to our holiday season, hosting the Joint Holiday Networking Mixer, including members of Truckee Chamber, North Tahoe Chamber, Truckee Downtown Merchants Association, Visit Truckee Tahoe, and Tahoe City Downtown Association. We enjoyed toasting the holidays with all of you with delicious drinks and food from Wild Pine in Northstar Village.

Attendees helped spread holiday cheer by filling the Truckee Community Cares (TCC) Toys for Tots and coat donation bins that TCC and Soroptimist International of Truckee Donner will distribute to local families in need for the holidays.

If you would like to donate toys or gently used coats, the donation bins are around Truckee until Friday, December 13. Visit TCC's website for locations. TODAY - Festive Fridays are back! Today and December 13th and 20th from 4:00–7:00 pm! Festive Fridays feature a special Sip ‘n’ Shop, a Snowflake Scavenger Hunt, holiday carolers, visits with Santa, and a festive selfie station to capture the holiday spirit. Stroll through beautifully lit streets, discover unique local shops, and experience the warmth of the season.

Join the Truckee Chamber of Commerce and Sierra Business Council for our first Futurepreneurs Pitch Week Showcase on Friday, December 6, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Truckee Town Hall.

The Futurepreneurs Pitch Week Showcase will feature business pitches from students who have participated in a series of workshops in the week leading up to the showcase. Students will have worked with mentors to hone their business idea and create a five minute presentation to present to our audience and judges.

Yesterday, Registrar of Voters Natalie Adona certified the official results of the Nov. 5, 2024 General Election for Nevada County. Total voter turnout for the election in Nevada County was 82%, the sixth highest turnout in the state!
