My name is Jessica Holmes. I am a fellow traveler with a passion for all things Ireland. I’ve been enchanted by the land of my ancestors all my life. I made my first pilgrimage to her shores in 2013, but what was intended to be a once-in-a-lifetime dream trip blossomed into a passionate love affair. I’ve returned many, many times over the years and fully i

mmersed myself in Irish history, geography, culture, and even her Mother tongue. Over 11 million tourists from all over the world make their way to this island every year. They come for many reasons - dramatic scenery, exquisite food and drink, art, music, history, tracing ancestry, and many more. But, no matter why they came, many visitors hear Éire’s call long after leaving. You are being invited to a wild, ancient, and stirring place… You will not leave the same person you were when you first arrived. “Ireland is somewhere that burrows deep down, in beside the parts of you built of bone and of marrow, before you even know that you have arrived - before you even embark, perhaps.” (Kerri Ní Dochartaigh, “Thin Places”)

Àit Draíochta means Magical Place in the Irish language (as Gaeilge). I chose this name because of the place and passion that inspires what I do. I apply years of personal experience, exploring all 32 counties of this island, with local knowledge, love of the land, and strong organizational skills, to curate your dream trip. I understand how difficult planning your first trip to a foreign place can be. Travel agents charge significant fees and offer generic, pre-planned packages. This is not affordable for some and rarely provides an ideal experience. I offer an affordable, tailor-made alternative because I love sharing this wonderful place with others. We will meet (via Zoom or phone) to discuss your interests, preferred travel style, wish list, and reasons for this destination. I will design a detailed itinerary with maps and recommendations for your needs. If desired, I will assist in flight, accommodation, dining, and tour selections. I am also available for hourly consultations if you prefer to plan your own trip, but need a little guidance. You will receive a tailor-made experience that allows you to get the most intimate insight into the true heart of the land, visiting places in a profound, immersive way that fosters genuine connection. I can help you find remote and obscure destinations, local hotspots, and the famous “must-sees.” Every experience is vetted for utmost authenticity and the highest standards. This kind of travel is truly memorable and adds something to your life. Each trip is priced individually. Your initial 30-minute consultation is complimentary. After meeting and discussing your needs, I will provide a cost estimate based on the necessary time requirements to build the trip of your dreams.
